June 2012

The summer meeting comprised three sessions. The first discussed the Government’s proposed changes in health and social care and was presented by Sir Denis Pereira Gray, Emeritus Professor of General Practice, University of Exeter, former chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners and CSP Fellow. Then Gillian Downham, CSP fellow, described a project on developing training materials for chairs and report writers of domestic homicide reviews, an initiative that has developed into a sizeable project since the Centre seminar discussion in June 2010. Finally, Dr Ginny Russell from the Peninsular Medical School in Exeter discussed the effects of autism and ADHD diagnoses on children’s life routes.
